Artwork not shown in Playing Queue

Post by clattier »

MM Android: 2.1.2.1320
Phone Galaxy S23, UI: 8.5

I have ~4300 tracks synced from Windows to my phone. Artwork is embedded in the metadata. Artwork shows up in the playlists, Albums, Artist. But when I look at the Playing Queue or the now playing screen, the artwork is missing (except for a few tracks). This has seemed to be getting worse over time (~ the last year) as I sync new music to the phone.

I have tried deleting the whole library on the phone and re-syncing and even deleting the MM application and doing a clean install.

Any thoughts on how to get the artwork to show up?

Thanks
Cliff

Hi,
Latest MMA 1333 should fix that issue and rescan your Audio for embed Album art.

Peke,

Thank you for the reply.

I updated to the 1333 build, and the problem seems to be worse.
Albums screen is missing ~1/3 of the artwork
Artist screen is mostly ok, only a few are missing
Playlists and now playing only have a few of the artwork displayed

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling MM, and also deleted the MediaMonkey directory thinking there might be an old file that was messing things up. I also deleted the thumbnail directory in my Music folder. It looks like the thumbnails got rebuilt, but only has 133 images (for 511 albums).
I did spot check the files in the Music folder using the Android "My Files" and showing artwork next to all of the files (I assume this is pulled from the metadata.).

P.S. Are there any MM files that contain information that I did not remove? It seems like some of my settings were retained even after the reinstall.
