respond?
I love mediamonkey and I've used it for quite some time with my iRiver mp3 player and I would hate to have to stop. If I buy an external card reader will that show up as a drive letter so I can synch with mediamonkey?
btw I think pocket pc's are the future because of their expandability and functionality; ipods and mp3 players are not because they're one dimensional. I think this warrants some attention from mediamonkey developers.

I'm pretty sure that Memory Cards show up as drive letters. Basically as long as it has a drive letter and is writable, it should work. For instance, with my Jetflash USB, I have it set up as one of my two Portable Audio Devices. Even though its not an mp3 player, it still works.
Hope this was helpful!

hmm
i use an sd card inserted into the sd slot of the device and it doesn't show up as a drive letter. In my computer it just shows up as a mobile device with no letter, but i'd be interested to know if there was a way to change that. I was also hoping that if i bought a card reader then that would show up as a letter. If anyone has experience with this i'd be interested.
I have USB 6in1 Card Reader and it shows as 4 Drive Letters.
I have tested it with MM 'Generic Prtable/Audio Device' plugin and 'Find Device' Finds it as 'USB storage Device' I just need to set Drive letter it uses and All worked ok.
Note: Reason why SD card in Device is not shown as drive is because device itself is not supported (made to not support) drive letter.

I have the same problem with a card reader. If you sync with the card in the reader it has a Drive letter. And the playlists are made with this drive letter. But when you use the playlists with the card inside the pocketpc there is no drive letter and the playlist won't work. The pass must be \sd-card\song.mp3 instead of b:\song.mp3

Could you please Ask in Scripts forum for someone kind enough to write you Playlist expoert Script that will work like you said with relative path not direct path to file and should work.
Script is easy to make (some similar scripts allready exists) and you will get what you need.
I didn't moved this topic as it can be Off-Topic there. Also is it is no problem make reply here with link to topic in Scripts forum to help other PPC users to easily find solution.

Yeah, I found that MediaMonkey can't sync to a Flash Memory Card in a PocketPC. I have a Dell Axim with a SD card. MediaMonkey recognizes both the internal memory and the SD card as seperate portable devices (which is what I would want).
I could even set up the whole sync and MediaMonkey did sync without marking a problem. The problem though is that the files are all 0 byte files.
I tried to manually copy files to the card in Windows Explorer and the convert window would open and the files would be added. These files did work.
I have ActiveSync running while doing all this and I don't know why this didn't work.
BTW. The SD card shows up as a folder in the Mobile Device in Windows Explorer. Neither the internal memory or SD card have a drive letter, but MediaMonkey did recognize the 2. I don't have any issues in this area, just that sync doesn't copy the files correctly.
