Hi - not sure if this is a 'bug' but it's a minor annoyance (to me).
My music files are divided into two root folders (one for 'favourite' music, which I sync with multiple protable devices, and one for 'not favourite' music, which I don't sync), each with the same folder structure underneath - i.e. both have one subfolder per artist.
I've noticed that, when I do a volume analysis, 'album volume' is not calculated unless all the files are in the same folder. So let's say I have The Beatles' 'Let It Be' album - some of the tracks are in the 'favourites' tree and some are not. MM5W calculates individual track volumes correctly but doesn't see that they are all part of the same album, despite having identical album/artist/artwork/date tags etc. So it doesn't calculate an album volume.
But if I right-click on any individual song and 'find more from same album', it *does* pull up all the tracks, irrespective of location, and if I select them all and run a volume analysis then it *does* apply an album volume.
As I say, a minor annoyance rather than a bug - but it would be nice if it were fixed!
Cheers

Which Build (Help > About) of MediaMonkey and where exactly are you browsing in the Media Tree when this occurs? Is it in Folders?
It very much sounds like you don't have all the files on the Album selected. If that's the case, then Album Volume won't be calculated. It requires all files on the Album to be selected.

Build 5.05.2695.
I'm looking at Files to Edit > Unanalyzed Volume. Select all files in an album and then Tools > Analyze volume.

Hi,
We've made a number of improvements to volume leveling in MMW 2024 and this issue should no longer occur (I couldn't replicate with 2024.0.0.3038).
You can find the latest build here:

Please let us know if you still experience a problem after updating. Thanks!
