Edit similar artists

Post by Biggus_Dickus »

Hi. In MM 2024. For a few artists/bands, I sometimes see similar artists/bands displayed. For others, I do not. Can I possibly edit this manually? 🤔

This is what I do:

From the Entire Library / Artists node, select an Artist in the left hand column, press F2 to rename.

For example, change "Guns n Roses" to "Guns N' Roses"

Now watch the status bar and you may see an indication as the node edit cascades through changing the files

Thanks, but not what I mean. What I mean is, I select an artist and MM shows me an similar sounding artist, like Spotify or Deezer does. i.E. I select AC/DC, it will show Aerosmith at the bottom as similar artist. But it doesn’t happen for every artist.

OK I understand better. I guess Spotify / Deezer base their return on a set of criteria e.g. Genre plus Country plus BPM and maybe a release Date "Window"

This is not editable, it's auto-generated.
