Bugs when updating artwork on PC and trying to sync to Android

I'm using MM on Win11 (2024.1.0.3113 portable) and Android (2.0.5.1248).

The issue is that I have been trying to update missing artwork and sync those changes to my Android.

ISSUE #1: If I update artwork for a file on my PC (I use MP3Tag) then attempt a sync to Android, the sync does not detect that the file has been changed and needs to be updated on my Android. I can rescan my PC library, restart MM, or even just play the file in MM to try to tell the Win11 program to take notice of this file and mark is as changed but none of this works.

ISSUE #2 (related): MM seems to have some really weird interractions with the system file folder.jpg. As I am retagging artwork on MP3s, Windows likes to regenerate my folder.jpg and use that default image for audio files where the files don't have artwork. So let's say I update the artwork on 2 files (file A and file B). Sometimes Windows decides that it likes file A and updates folder.jpg to use the artwork from file A. Then I sync MM and instead of file A and file B now having correct art, they both have the art for file A because the folder.jpg is overriding the artwork that I embedded on file B. I have multiple times been forced to go into specific folders in cmd and wipe the folder.jpg using attrib to remove the system flag on the folder.jpg file just so I can delete it so MM will stop using it. This is maddening.

I wonder why you use Mp3TAG instead of MM to update artworks?
