Does anyone know if a 2014 ThinkPad T1440s and a Seagate 8tb expansion disk will work with MM without burning out ?

It really depends on your Library size what kind of performance you'll have. With a small Library older systems won't have an issue. MediaMonkey 2024 is tested with Windows 10 & 11 and Windows 10 is about to become EOL.
