Error at the end of iphone sync

Post by muralin »

Windows 11
MM 2024 v3167

at the end of an iphone sync, it is stuck saying "Removing old content" and a minute later throws a message that there was a problem with synchronizing following item: D:\Downlaod\X.mp3 File is inaccessible. X no longer exists as I renamed it as the length of X was over 300 characters. How can I get rid of this error message? Otherwise, all my songs seem to sync fine. Thanks.

Is this file still in the MediaMonkey Library and selected for Sync? You may find it under Dead Links and can remove from there (which also removes it from the Sync list).

Hi,
Use Music -> Location Tree node to navigate to D:\Downlaod\ aand remove X.mp3 from MM library.

Thanks. I dont know if the file is in the Library or not. I didn't find any dead links either. I did a File -> Add/scan and selected D:\Download. It stated a file was missing and I clicked on ok or smoething and the sync error went away. The only issue was that the add/scan added a ton of irrelevant video files to the library that I removed.

All good now. Thanks for your guidance.

I assume you're asking a different question and need iOS 26 compatibility instead. For that you need MediaMonkey 2024.2 beta.

Ok, I will!! Any release date for the full new version? Also, is the MAC version still in the works?

No ETA on a final release and the MAC version is in internal testing with no ETA for a public beta.
