Upgrade Windows 10 to 11 - Checklist

Does anyone here have a checklist of things Pre, Post and in general about what to do? [Pitfalls are what I am worried about most]

What exactly are you looking for? If you files. Still play in MediaMonkey there is nothing that needs to be done.

For most people, the windows changeover AKA upgrade is totally trouble free and almost all your applications and data will be still there and running same as before.

As with any major software change, there might be a few growing pains, and things might even go catastrophically wrong, which is very rare and often caused by latent hardware issues.

Growing pains such as Win 11 will not allow top-mounted task bar - why?? Need to get used to new start menu.

So, always make a full backup of all your important files first before proceeding. Cloud might be OK, I prefer a portable HDD in my possession. I mean your personal data files, like pictures, music, documents, email etc. Programs can usually be re-downloaded and re-installed.

I've done about 5 different machines, all trouble free.
