MM5 lumps stereo and multi-channel together
Among other things, I have a large collection of multi-channel versions of albums ripped from SACDs, etc. MediaMonkey just lumps these different versions together even though they are in different folders. Is there a way for MM5 to recognize these are distinct versions of an album and list them separately. Roon for instance does this automatically. It is a problem for when I want to create a playlist of syncing and I right click on an album to send it to a playlist and MM5 sends both the stereo and mult-channel files when I just want the stereo files. I would be happy if MM5 just ignored the multi-channel files since it cannot play back multi-channel files anyway.

No, MediaMonkey uses Album and Album Artist to determine what is an Album, not audio properties.
You can use Collections to filter files on Criteria Channels which would only show those matching files on the Album and should only add those to the Playing queue/Playlist.

I suppose one could edit the album titles of the multi-channel versions by adding " - MC" to each of those titles.
That would be a manual operation one edit per album, but it would serve the purpose once it was done.
