Format of track# tag

Post by frank1969a »

Did the "default format" of the track# - tag change in MM(W) 2027? (r3513 & r3514 tested)

I have all my files tagged xx/yy (01/12, 02/12, 03/12) - now i see only 1 (or 2 or 3) in MM2027 and if I save a file (with some other changes) my #track value is changed to 1, 2, 3, 4, 5... (which causes issues in some other programs I use).

Update:
I just tested I can re-write it to 01/12, 02/12 ... and then it is stored in the given way - so I guess:

Could it be something went wrong transforming db from MM2024 to MM2027?
Can I redo /undo this?

Thanks!

Do you have a backup of your MMW2024 database?

If you create a copy of a file and scan it, does MediaMonkey display the correct or incoreect Track#?

Yes, I saved 2 versions of the MM5.db before I upgraded to MMW2027 (as a "desaster backup"), so I could probably re-install the MMW2024 (but then I couldn't test new MMW2027 features ;-))

I did some research in my db:
- ALL files (as far as I can see) that have already been in MMW2024 and have been migrated have the "wrong" track#format ("01", "02", "03", ...)
- ALL files that I scanned AFTER the migration (= with MMW2027) have the "right" track#-format again ("01/12", "02/12", ...)

Might be some issue with the migration/transformation process?
I migrated from r3222 to r3513 (if this helps).
