Rebuild Database now running 24 hours.....
I did a rebuild of my MMW database. It has been running now for 24 hours. There is no indication as to where it is or how much has been done. Is there any way I can check the database itself a see what is going on? (was a DBA before retiring)
Some of these longer processes like database rebuild should have some sort of indicator that they are still running. Even if just an incremental counter of how many records have been dealt with.

Re: Rebuild Database now running 24 hours.....
I am build 3517. Same status, and it has been 48 hours.
Greg
P.S. I ran the rebuild kind of hoping it would clean up all the duplicate records I have..... Does not look like that happened.

No it wouldn't, you need to use the duplicate management options instead: https://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/WebHel ... Duplicates

Still would work the same way.

Yes MMW created the duplicates when it did the Manage database -> Convert mapped drives to UNC paths.
I am guessing I have between 90,000 and 150,000 duplicates like this.

Hi,
I guess you created backups? If yes can you please Upload one of latest backups before you updated MM 2027 to latest build and ZIP your current MM5.DB Then can you please Create support Ticket and supply us with download URL so that we can do analyze. I have Tested remapping Mapped -> UNC on approx 200k of tracks and Mm did not created single duplicate.

I am zip up the DB. Then you did the convert did you have the same entries in two places? ie M;\Music and \\10.10.10.10\vol\Music? This is how I got the duplicates.

Tables sent ticket #18363: "MMW 3517 convert paths to UNC duplicated entries".
