Hi geniuses,
I am wondering if it is possible to get mediamonkey to automatically make simple edits to the tags of new items that are added to the library.
For example I want to setup a rule where any new items that have a filename which contains "\rock\" has the genre tag set to rock.
Are there any extensions that can do this?

can this not be done?

it could probably be done via scripting, however I don't know of any script that has that type of feature.
its a good idea and been brought up before, I just don't think anyone has taken it on for themselves and/or released it for public use.

New script:
Last.FM Node Now with DJ Mode!
Last.fm + MediaMonkey = Scrobbler DJ!
Tag with MusicBrainz ~ Get Album Art!
Tweak the Monkey! ~ My Scripts Page

Re: Automatically edit tags of new songs added to library
If it's editing based on folder/filenames you could use the Infer Track Properties option in MediaMonkey.
As a workaround you can turn on the feature to create playlists of songs added to your library so you can quickly go to those to make the edits.
