Auto Song Signature support with Midori and/or TuneupMedia

Post by faridshenassa »

Hello,

I had mentioned in the past, integrating Midori automatic song identification in Media Monkey. That would let it automatically identify the song by analyzing the signature, update the covert art and all the ID tags.

There is also now TuneupMedia which does the same thing but through the iTunes API which is pretty clunky. however, it seems to do a nice job of matching songs and getting the full album info and cover art correct, even for international albums.

It would be very nice to have that capability from one or both integrated into Media Monkey. It could be an Add on, part of Gold, or platinum version for an added revenue stream and I am sure lots of people will pay for the ability to automatically update all their information.

Thanks
Eli

Can you post a link for Midori? A very quick google search just turned up EtOH.

I can't see any API for Midori so implementing it within MM could be pretty tricky, but maybe not impossible. However, maybe you want to take a look at my Music IP Tagger script which creates a signature (called a PUID) which works with MusicIP and MusicBrainz databases.
Download my scripts at my own MediaMonkey fansite.
All the code for my website and scripts is safely backed up immediately and for free using Dropbox.
