Adding FLAC to iPod

Hello, I'm trying to add music to my iPod without iTunes, but when I drag the files into the device with MM4 it says the files are not supported. I have a FLAC player in my iPod, but I don't know how to transfer them. Do I have to find the solution elsewhere or can it be done from MM? Almost all of my library is in FLAC and I want it to stay that way, so converting would be just as a last resource.

You'd have to go to the auto-conversion tab in the iPod settings in MM and add FLAC as a compatible file type.
