I'm glad I found this already reported. I'm having a very similar thing, I think it's the same. I believe it's been happening for this version and POSSIBLY the previous version. I'm on the newest I think, 2024.2.1.3213.
Upon a first startup of MM in the morning, the FIRST song I listen to is zero-ing out random fields. It always removes the volume leveling information, and sometimes removes the "Artist" field. If I check the files properties, those fields are indeed blank. BUT, if I close MM and reopen it, the fields reappear populated as they were before. But it's not *just* a visual glitch, because how do I explain this.. I have my library sorted to "List by Album" so it shows the picture on the left, and the album, sorted by Artist. When I play the first song of the day and it Zeroes out that Artist field, after a couple seconds, it shifts that song somewhere else, since my library is sorted by it.
EDIT: All three settings are as you stated in a previous comment. What exactly does Ctrl+S do? Should I do that on a track that's had its metadata wiped? I'll have to try tomorrow morning, haha.
