Re: What's the best way to move music files around?
Did you check all the available masks: http://www.mediamonkey.com/sw/webhelp/frame/index.html?configuringdirectoryandfileformats.htm I didn't realize it was so powerful. I guess it's possible to do it using $Replace(<Path>, old_base_dir, new_base_dir) Anyway you can also Cut in the Location node ...

Re: What's the best way to move music files around?
That doesn't really work efficiently for I need to do because the '...' part is also a directory structure that doesn't involve any of the properties/tags that can be parametrized, so I'd have to split the work into very small chunks.

What's the best way to move music files around?
I'm trying to move quite a few music files to another local drive, preserving the directory structure but not the base directory, e.g. from D:\foo\bar\... to E:\some\path\... what follows the '...' will stay the same as directory structure and file names. What is the best way to do this so that the ...

Re: Latest 3.1.2 build and iPhone support
OK, seems to work, though my first attempt at syncing some mp3's resulted in a hang and nothing synced. Second time it worked.

Latest 3.1.2 build and iPhone support
If I want to install the latest 3.1.2 build (RC1 as of this writing) do I need to download a separate d_iPhone.dll or does it come with the right version?
Also, does it work OK with iPhone firmware 3.1.2?
thanks

Shared database across LAN/streaming across LAN
I was wondering what options users of MediaMonkey have for sharing the database/configuration across a bunch of computers on a home LAN. These days it's all too common to have 2 or more computers in the house and usually one serves as the main storage while others just stream content from it. 1) Is ...

Re: Cannot delete devices from Portable/Audio Devices list
But what happens if the plugin is used by multiple devices, e.g. multiple iPods use d_iPod.dll? Then I won't be able to use the devices that are still valid.
Why is the Delete button disabled?

Cannot delete devices from Portable/Audio Devices list
I have a bunch of devices that I no longer use, yet I cannot delete them from the Available Devices/Plug-ins list in the Options. The Delete button is disabled for all the devices in the list and so is the right-click context menu Remove Device. Where is this list stored so I can remove them by hand ...

Re: last.fm scrobbler doesn't support "loving" tracks
Any timeframe you have in mind for adding this feature? It would also be cool to customize the plugin so that it reflects the ratings from MM, say >= 3 stars, automatically "love" the track in last.fm, but also have the option to "love" a track manually without it having any star ratings in MM (or ...

Does the latest last.fm scrobbler plugin not support the "loved track" feature? If so, any plans to add it?

Can MM edit APEv2 tags in mp3 files?
I have some mp3 files that include ID3v2 and APEv2 tags. I can edit the ID3v2 tags just fine but can't edit the APEv2 tags in MM. I'd be OK with simply clearing all APEv2 tags as they are wrong anyway and not in sync with the ID3v2 tags. Unfortunately foobar2000 seems to show all these APEv2 tags ...

search by file format
Is there a way to search by file format based on the metadata and not the filename? E.g. find all "wma" or "mp3" or "flac" tracks?
I know I can do it using the extension on the filename but I was wondering if it can be done based on the metadata.
thank you
