Re: Organize Files 'Move' Actually Copies, Plus Weirdness
I'm very sorry, I didn't mean to ignore you! I must not have checked the box for reply notifications, and after a week without a response I stopped looking manually. I made a new flash drive this weekend and experienced the same bug in version 2024.2.0.3184, so I thought to check again. Lowlander ...

Organize Files 'Move' Actually Copies, Plus Weirdness
I put my music on flash drives for my car. Because the random function in every car I've used sucks, I sync my music to the drive in organized folders, then have the Organize Files function move them all into one folder with the destination set to "<Random> <Filename>". If the drive is big enough ...

Retrieving Track Comments
Hello, I'm trying to write a script that copies the metadata from an older copy of a file to a new one. I had to sort them in a pretty round-about way, but it's mostly working - everything except the track comments. The API tells me Track.summary is a read-only shortened version of the track comment ...

Re: Chromium Artwork Import Fails
So, this is strange. The warning on the beta post spooked me. I saw that we're near the end of this beta cycle, but my database is very large. And then I misread the note that "the debug version has trouble with the computer going to sleep" as "the beta has trouble with..." So I didn't really want ...

Re: Chromium Artwork Import Fails
How would I do that?
It still happens that way even if the tab is only a .jpg image, like:

Re: Chromium Artwork Import Fails
With the 5.0.3.2615 beta both right-click/copy-image and right-click/copy-image-address add the "paste" option to the artwork tab, which then successfully brings up the Add Cover dialog. Dragging an image ( not from Google Image Search) still looks like it should work then fails, but since Google ...

Chromium Artwork Import Fails
I first mentioned this here: https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=99983 And was linked to this issue: https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=18180 That issue is marked closed now, and for its narrow focus that's true. However, for trying to get artwork from a Chromium-based ...

Re: Dialog Window Shortcuts
That's perfect, thank you! [*] I noticed the data-defaultSize in dlgSetGender.html is very small. I'd recommend increasing it to something like 500,200 https://i.imgur.com/K5EWtAv.png Oh, that's why that keeps happening! It kept defaulting really big and never seemed to change sizes, so I just ...

Dialog Window Shortcuts
Hello, I made a couple simple scripts that did a single thing, then I made a script that had a couple versions of how I wanted it to behave, and I was happy making two copies with different hard-coded settings, as clunky as that is. Then I wanted to add a script that would have eight permutations of ...

Re: Autotag Image Size [#18180 #3181]
Oh, duh. After letting the details of that bug report percolate for a bit, I can still use the method Barry4679 outlined above. Just instead of "copy image," select "copy image path" - that puts the address of the picture in the clipboard instead of the actual bitmap, and MM5 accepts that to paste ...

Re: Year Instead of Date? [#18261 #18262]
Thank you Lowlander. For Zonky and 1001Musik, I learned a little bit and made a really basic script:

Re: Autotag Image Size [#18180 #3181]
Ah-ha, that's interesting, thank you. Right-clicking and copying the image also doesn't work in Chrome - according to issue #18180, Chrome puts the actual image in the clipboard when you do this (which seems like the correct thing to do), while Firefox just copies the path to the temp file (which ...

Re: Year Instead of Date?
So could there be a script that takes the <Year> of the Date field and overwrites the date?

No, I can't. The entire second paragraph is all the ways that I can't.
MM4, it works:

MM5, it doesn't:

Autotag Image Size [#18180 #3181]
Autotag is setting all my album art to be giant, hi-res images. Most of them are coming in 1700x1700 or 1900x1900, and usually around 500-900Kb. I'm sure that's nice for a lot of cases, but my Sonos won't display any art over 300Kb, and my car chokes on images over 1000x1000. Now I have to go back ...
