hey dude is it possible to automatically embed the local jpeg for a large batch of files

so each album has many tracks so each jpeg is embedded into each file, the jpeg is in the folder where the tracks are.

cheers dude

Yep, that is what this script does. See process #2.
Good luck!

Yes, that is what this script does. Process # 2 will take the jpeg located in your folder, and embed it into the tag for each song. You just have to set up a mask to tell it where to look.

What are your jpeg's named? Is there a pattern? Are they all called the same thing?

Hi, first of all thanks for the script - works great!

just one questions: I have all album art in tags, and can use your script to check the size of the image in pixels (script 6).

This script does however not check image size in KB! Would it be possible to add a sub-function to check the size in KB of tagged image? After all, it's (file) size that matters, no?

MM does somehow have this info available, when mousing over pic in properties view it shows the image size in KB.

Thanks

Thanks, I'm glad you like the script. Unfortunately whilst this information is available in MM, it is not made available via the scripting API. I guess I could dump out the file, then query the size and then delete it, but this would be a very slow process.
Download my scripts at my own MediaMonkey fansite.

I am trying to change the album art in all my mp3 music files so stumbled across this script. All my mp3's are in individual album folders and within each folder is an image of the front album cover named folder.jpg. What I would like to achieve is to embed the image into the mp3 file AND have a link to the folder.jpg

First question is this possible (to embed the image in the tag of the mp3 AND link to it) and if so what mask name do I use to tell the script where to look as all I keep getting is 'file does not exist'

Any help much appreciated
Will the last person please get the light!

It is possible and extremely simple. Just follow the screenshot below:

Hi there.
I usually have folders per album.
Is there a way to extract artwork to folders only in case the folders do not have a folder.jpg or other image yet?
Thx ohneland

I seem to have figured this out by sorting my folders with Tagging Inconsistencies and then run AAT.
HOWEVER, due to this problem:

I could only extract half of the respective folder.jpgs...

Has there been a reply to oeyoeve's post of almost a year ago? I too find that after accidentally selecting "Scan file directories for Artwork", I now have thousand of tracks with both embedded and linked artwork. I only wish to keep the embedded artwork so would appreciate an option along the lines "Remove all linked artwork only". I have used "Remove artwork except first image" with a degree of success, however sometimes an album will contain multiple embedded images that I wish to keep (Front Cover, Back Cover, etc.) and sometimes a linked image will be the first. Any chance?

Thanks,
Mac.

Okay, answering my own post. After playing around I found that option 5 "Remove Artwork Not Matching Storage" with "Embed In Tag" selected from the drop down menu achieves what I want! Not as obvious as "Remove Linked Artwork" but maybe I'm just getting old. Anyway thanks very much for this script and I'll get back in my box.

Regards,
Mac.

Trix, Thank you. Your script is excellent and does exactly what I need done.
I'm also annoyed with you as I have managed to avoid using scripts or even learning how/ what/ why of scripts up until now. So thank you for the enlightenment.
