Devices known to synch correctly
Moderator: Gurus
I've found that MediaMonkey 2.5x and 3.0rc4 generally autosynch well with the COWON D2 in MTP mode. I use MTP mode because it's the only way to have MM generate binary .pla playlists (i.e., the D2 does not use plain text playlists).
Problems include:
1. All files are recopied on every synch (regardless of using autosynch or Send To...). Happens every time.
2. Playlist .pla files placed on the D2 during a synch are sometimes empty. I'm still testing to determine if a repeatable user scenario exists for this.

Sync with Blackberry Curve (8300)
No problems using MM 3.x (RC-5) to sync a FLAC library stored on Windows Home Server with auto-sync converting to MP3 (256) on the fly.
This is the best kept secret for Blackberry owners!

the sansa clip
i recently just upgraded to MM3 and got sandisk's new player the clip. i was having trouble getting music to sync with the player. It has to be in MTP mode for it to sync correctly, otherwise it wont add any songs to the device. Just thought i would let people know if anyone was having problems with this.
iTouch in MM3?
Has this list been updated with the latest information from MM3?
I see on the home page that MM3 includes new iPods, does this include iTouch?
Thanks!

I've been eagerly awaiting the release of MM3 because it's supposed to sync with my 3G Nano. I went away for the holidays hoping to see it soon.
I came back and saw the announcement of MM3, yay! But when I looked up comments on synchronization with my iPod, I saw lots of posts that talk about problems with that.
So does MM3 sync with the new Nano or not?
Is it stable enough for a newbie who's still learning how to use anything other than iTunes?

i have a zen vision:m 60gb, and when i try to use MM (2.5.5) to sync music to my zen, although it shows the files i have syned if you look on 'MY Computer', however it doesnt actually show up on my player. i think this is a problem with the way i set up the sync options, as i dont think i did it correctly, so can anyone please help (ie tell me how to sync music preperly). im new to MM, but it seems very useful and i wouldnt want to stop using it. thanks!
Re: no synch
iPhone and iTouch are not currently supported, and there is no timeline for their support that I'm aware of.farfal wrote:I have a ipod i touch. when i plug it in , i get a pop up saying to usemedia monkey for sync but when i bring up mm my device does not show up on the list

I tried with an archos 605 wifi and its working great. playlist transfer, music transfers, it even auto converts on the fly when the rules dictate too. for example, flac to mp3. Great!
Is this using MTP mode or just the regular USB hard drive mode on the 605?
Thanks
