I think I've solved it: instead of pinning the shortcut from start menu I pinned the "MediaMonkey (non-skinned).exe" file (I don't use MM's skins). Seems ok now.

In Windows 7 build 7100 I have MM pinned to the taskbar. But when I run the program it creates another icon on the taskbar while it should just highlight the pinned icon.

The same problem here. MediaMonkey 3.0.1.1127 + Vista. I let the player on for a while and suddenly a cascade of error messages appear (thread creation error: not enough storage is available to process this command).

I know MM isn't Vista compatible, but I just wanted to share my experience with MM running under Vista and multimedia keys on my UMAX WK-725 keyboard. They work just when MM is focused - UNLESS MM is started using the "Play all" command in Windows Explorer. Then I can use the play/stop, ff/rew etc ...

Well, I can see they have some issues (in fact, this is the only problem I found), but I am looking for a solution, if there is one. Maybe somebody had the same problem and figured it out...

I used to be a happy user of MiniLyrics and MM, but after installing Vista, MiniLyrics won't start with MM. If I try to start ML manually, MM won't appear in the list of compatible players. The only way I can get ML to work with MM is to start MM as administrator. Is there any solution to this? I ...

Well the one I've found is a plugin for Miranda, so you can't install it in the mediamonkey folder. What I need is popup that would show the name of the song without that "pop" sound (I want the sound and popup for other events). I don't need it in Miranda. Is there other way to do this?

Isn't there any plugin, that could display the name of the song I am playing in Mediamonkey in the popup overlay? There is one for Winamp...
