Very clever Dale! It should be possible to create a graph that shows the beat throughout a track. Since much music (esp Classical) changes during the track it could leave us humans to choose a setting from the graph, perhaps aided by coloured bands for each Tempo (Fast, Quite Fast, etc).. Just a ...

Good to hear that Pocket-PCs are being taken seriously. I am a big fan and user of them for many years and am looking forward to seeing how MM can work with them. Pocket-PCs have so much extra functionality than iPods and the like, although big hard disks haven't appeared yet . . . There are models ...

This is an old post but I may be able to help! The HP hx4700 is a mighty fine Pocket-PC and definitely does show up in the explorer list, and has an icon for synching files - this lives on the desktop and in My-Documents. There is a larger than usual memory in the standard device (including a place ...

What I am looking forward to in v3 :-)
Hello! Just read through the summary of new things being added to v3 and thought I would snip the ones that interested me most (and add the odd comment) so that the developers have some feedback. I have not yet tried the 'alpha' version . . . might dig up an old PC to try it on ...

When Freedb does not know the CD - what next?
When Freedb does not know the CD - what next? Does this mean that the server is overwhelmed with enquiries? Are there ways to find other Freedb servers to try?
Mine is set to freedb.freedb.org and I get an error 404 when clicking 'alternate servers' . . .
Or other databases of tag data?
Thanks
jk

Great! Thanks for explaining all of that 'Teknojnky'. I can see what you mean . . . there are four drive numbers 'IDMEDIA' being used . . . I have some tidying up to do!! I'll wait till I can sit still for long enough to do it thoroughly Do you agree that I should aim to end up with all files using ...

Perhaps an explanation of the drive changes is in order? Although I am refering to network terms the work thus far has all been done on the one 'server' computer . . . I was simply preparing to introduce two other networked computer to share the music and database . . . I started with the music all ...

Tempo, Mood, and Occassion problems with FLAC in GOLD MM
Tempo, Mood, and Occassion problems with FLAC data. Thanks to those who have helped thus far. I am starting this thread with this more accurate title - perhaps someone knows the answer? I have managed to confuse the database by either changing from the local drive to the UNC drive and then to a ...

Have to say novice, although I am proficient at using computers and networks . . . but not a programmer at all. Loved MusicMatch when it was all new and wonderful, but it was full of bugs and got worse and then Yahoo got involved . . . no way! Along the way I learned that I can tell the difference ...
