Re: Turning shuffle off not unshuffling
I'm using the Metro M skin. That lists 'Playing' List as an availabe element so it's configured in MMW. Really not sure what is causing this issue. However, I thought it might be related to my main issue in this thread around unshuffling, which it clearly is not. So in that case I don't think this ...

Re: Mediamonkey server issues
Okay many thanks, I'll go down that route. I did that before to fix the issue, just not sure why it has repeated. I agree though it is very likely a Windows issue. Many thanks for your help!

Re: Mediamonkey server issues
Yes changing the port to 4000 makes it appear under 'Devices and Services' but that instance is not attributed to my computer by name (whereas previously it was, when it worked).

Re: Turning shuffle off not unshuffling
Yes exactly - sorry if I wasn't clear. In settings, when looking at the 'Playing' list tab the only text in the right hand panel of the settings window is " 'Playing' list not found! ". That's it, nothing else at all. Is there a MM file I should be looking at, where this setting is defined?

Re: Mediamonkey server issues
I've been through all of that, historically too. As I said, I had MMW and MMA syncing perfectly well for years without issue. I thought it might be a bug caused by a W11 update or something more subtle like that. Are there any logs/screenshots that would be useful to provide? It seems odd that the ...

Re: Turning shuffle off not unshuffling
Oh okay, at least I know. Does that explain the "'Playing' list not found" in Settings>Layout>'Playing' List too? I'm sure the change in how shuffling operates is for good reason but I'm not sure it's well explained - at least for me it was hard to ascertain that the change was deliberate. Thanks ...

Re: Mediamonkey server issues
Okay that may be correct, I don't know. What I do know is the following: 1) The mediamonkey 'server' used to appear under devices and services. 2) I used to be able to sync with MMA routinely and without issue. 3) It suddenly stopped, which I was able to resove via fiddling with some Windows ...

Re: Turning shuffle off not unshuffling
Thanks Lowander, Is this a (relatively) new change then? I have always viewed my music in the order of artist and then album. If I was using shuffle previously it would shuffle through the 'Playing' view, moving across the whole library, but if I unpressed shuffle, it would simply play the next song ...

Mediamonkey server issues
Hi, I routinely sync MMA to MMW via the server but recently it hasn't worked. The server is 'running' according to MMW but not showing under Devices and Services (previously it was). I thought I had fixed it last week in Windows by updating (though not sure why it would have changed) the services ...

Turning shuffle off not unshuffling
Hi, I have an issue unshuffling. I order my music by artist, then album. If I select shuffle and then double click a song, it will play and then follow the shuffled list as expected, all good. However, if I then turn off shuffle, I get a message saying it can't unshuffle: "Shuffle disabled. Unable ...

Multiple MMW
Hi, Is there a way to have MMW running on multiple PCs, using the same library. These would be on the same network. Currently I have my main PC which has my MM library on it. To run my music in another room I duplicate the entire library (files and settings) on another PC and run it from there. This ...

Server and sync has stopped working
Hi, I have been using MM5 and MMA to sync my music bidirectionally without issue. Recently I upgraded my router (and to full fibre) since when MMA has not been able to sync, or connect to the MM5 server. I have noticed that the server appears momentarily in MM5 under devices and services, but then ...

MMS is applying metadata to the wrong files
Hi, as ever, thank you to all who work on MMS! I just noticed an error that is occuring on my MMS setup. MSS is assigning incorrect metadata to files. For example I have audiobooks split into multiple files, and MMS appears to be applying the metadata of one track to another, seemingly randomly. The ...
