MM appears to forget column settings, I change the width to suit display and then have to reset again after every restart.

I haven't had any problems with the colum settings remembering their place...
The only thing I think of might be a permissions thing, are you running with admin priviledge?
or mm is not shutting down properly... when you close MM does it still show in the task manager 'processes' list?

New script:
Last.FM Node Now with DJ Mode!
Last.fm + MediaMonkey = Scrobbler DJ!
Tag with MusicBrainz ~ Get Album Art!
Tweak the Monkey! ~ My Scripts Page

I am using vista premium as ADMIN, I tried to right click and "run as admin" still doesn't save widths.Teknojnky wrote:I haven't had any problems with the colum settings remembering their place...

Task manager doesn't show any MM processes after I close it.
Also, it does save where I was last in the tree explorer and view type, it just doesn't save the darn column width, strange.
you could try removing the mediamonkey key from the registry (be sure to save your gold registration info if you have it), while mm not running of course, and then restart and see if you can adjust and save it.
other than that, sound pretty wierd, might try a debug log cause that probly be the only way to let them see what happening

Same here.
I adjust the column widths and close MM3.
When I reopen the Title and Artist columns have adjusted out to the width required to display the longest string in both columns and the right most column (in my case Rating) has narrowed. I don't run MM3 at full screen but the overall window has retained it's width but Title and Artist columns have readjusted width.

Hmm, I found a fix for me.
I use MM with the "show album art with details", and that's how I have been adjusting columns that never save after exit. Well, I tried making the necessary column widths changes with the "show details" mode. I exit and wow they SAVED. I am not sure what's causing this. Only thing I have different than default is expand the albums on "show album art with details"
