Changing format of m3u to forward slash
My Archos 504 requires the m3u playlist to have forward slashes instead of back slashes. Can I set MM3 to create the playlist in this format?

No, you can't. Are you sure that format is required? My Archos 5 reads standard m3u playlists...

When I synchronize a playlist from MM3, then try to play it, no tracks are found. Replacing the slash character resolves the issue.nohitter151 wrote:No, you can't. Are you sure that format is required? My Archos 5 reads standard m3u playlists...
Is yours the new Archos 5, or the 504?

Mine is the 504.nohitter151 wrote:The new 5.
I am wondering if there is anyway to get MM3 to spit out m3u with forward slashes.

Sorry, but I already said in a previous post. There's no way to specify for MM to do that.palmernet wrote:Mine is the 504.nohitter151 wrote:The new 5.

Re: Changing format of m3u to forward slash
There IS a way to generate 3u playlists in Mediamonkey - thanks to this wonderful community.
Get this script http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=34512, go to Options - General - Export M3Us/Playlists and check the "Unix format" box.
Check the "Relative paths" option if you want relative instead of absolute paths.
This script also allows you to modify/remove parts of the path if necessary.
Then right-click on the Playlists node, select "Export M3Us for Child nodes", pick a folder to save the playlists and presto - m3u's with forward slashes!

Also it's being added for device sync for MM4.

FTR, it has been added in MM4 - as "[x] Use Linux folder separator ('/' instead of '\')". Though GOK why labelled Linux rather than Unix.nohitter151 wrote:Also it's being added for device sync for MM4.
