Same issue, even after clearing cache ("tools > options > general" points to %temp%). If I remove both front & back artwork from an artwork, no cover shows. After I manually re-add artwork, another random album cover is used.
This is an old issue since 2011, perhaps even further back.

Incorrect album art at album level

Re: Incorrect album art at album level
bump, still have the issue
Re: Incorrect album art at album level
You can fix this by right clicking the offending album picture and clicking again the ticked image you want, in my case "Image 1: Cover (front)". Rather Annoying and laborious but it at least fixes the issue.
Re: Incorrect album art at album level
Sorry scrap that, it makes the images correct for the files you're looking at but transfers the new images to the album it was previously cloning too. Looks like a problem with the linking of the images to the album. Both albums seem to link to the same image despite there being nothing in the track properties showing such a link. Clicking to reset the image art changes the image which the link is pointing to thus affecting both albums.
Does that observation help anyone with a diagnosis?

Re: Incorrect album art at album level
Clearing the Art cache should fix any Artwork issue in the Art views. After that you'll need to look at every track on the Album as one could have the wrong Art associated.

Re: Incorrect album art at album level
Ok, after some trawling through the database my problem, I'm fairly sure, is that I have multiple albums with the same name. I have separated them in my library by genre but media monkey is giving them the same album ID in the database and thus confusing the album art! Could this be the problem other people are having? Subtly renaming albums with the same name (eg appending an artists initial) fixes the problem for me.
Not really an error but pretty confusing behaviour

Re: Incorrect album art at album level
Different Genres don't create different Albums, different Album Artists do. MediaMonkey considers all files with the same Album value and the same Album Artist value belonging to the same Album.
