when will we be able to TYPE-TO what looking for? [#14163]

In versions before 5 you could highlight a column and type-to. Easy way to get to an artist or album.
But in 5 all there is is the 'filter'. I want to go to the album L.A. Woman. By typing L.A. Woman ver 5 only shows me the tracks that TITLE is L.A. Woman. That is not useful

This seems to work fine for me, e.g. go to the All tracks node and type something - I get matches from Title, Artist, Album, .... Or, I go to Albums node and then the results are only from Album names and Artists.

Ohh, maybe I understand, you mean when List filter view is active and then you expect to type to one of _its_ columns, right?

right filter comes active automatically ... problem is the user shouldn't have to change their view to find something.

Another problem with filter only is that it limits results. For example I enter 'All Night Music' and all it shows is that. Where the 4x grid takes you to that location and you can scroll up and down. Hmm is it 'All Night Music' or 'All Night Moves' ...
