Changing Track Number Display.

Hi,

I have my music organized \My Music\Artist\Album\Track No - Track Title.flac

In the main MM view where the 'Title' of track is listed when I click on the Album Node the Track Number is displayed :-

1. The View From The Afternoon

If I goto the track properties to look at the Tag the Title is :-

If I then click on the Artist Node so it displays all the Albums from that artist then the track is displayed :-

The View From The Afternoon

How can I change my MM setup so when I click on an Album node the Track Number is not displayed in the Title ?

I'm assuming it's picking up the track number from the tag and not the filename so I just need to turn this off ... without removing the tag obviosly

I've tryed removing the Infer Track Properties but this didn't work.

You can't. This is a feature, if you aren't sure you can right click and select properties. The title shown in the properties is the real title. MediaMonkey puts numbers in the title column in various views like album, now playing and playlists. This is found annoying by many people and a change is on the wishlist. Proposed changes would either take it away all together, have it in it's own column (for playlists and now playing) or make it configurable.

I find that track numbers *sometimes* appear in titles, but not always. It's not obvious to me what, if anything, correlates with track numbers appearing. Is there any explanation for that?

Track numbers appear in the title field for tracks that have a track number, only in the "Now Playing" view and the "Album" view.
This is behaviour by design.
Disabling this behaviour has been requested in the past, and this "issue" will be addressed in one of the next versions.

hello,
on a similar topic, i haven't found a way to format my library from (for example) track 1 (as displayed in MM) to track 01 as specified in my tags. MM recognises track 101, just not 01. am i an idiot for not being able to change this behaviour.

MM also has some funkiness regarding capitalization, even though my *thoroughly* scoured over tags are appearing the way i want them to.
