Error Messages - Should I Be Concerned

I use Media Monkey as a place to keep a database of all my CD's.These are actual CD's and not ones that are on my hard drive.I have had recently to move a copy of my db file from my old corrupted hard drive onto my new drive ( same computer ). Eventually I managed to transfer it ok and yesterday I added the missing CD's to the playlist/database.If I run MM as a administrator,there are no problems opening up MM.But if I just double click the desktop icon,eventually I see these various error messages.Some different ones appear after I click on Cancel,Ignore etc. Are these messages anything I should be worried about ? After a combination of clicks,the messages do not appear any more and I can continue to use MM.

MediaMonkey doesn't seem to have permissions from Windows to write to the database file. You'll need to set these permission in Explorer. Make sure the database file isn't Read Only and that the Windows User MediaMonkey is run as has permissions to write in the folder and file the database is located.

Thank you once again Lowlander for your help.I am pleased to say that the problem seems now to be resolved.I am still receiving a few messages when I exit Media Monkey.I am still receiving the first two images but at this moment in time,the third image has now stopped appearing.If you have any idea,it would be good to know what these three error messages mean.Can they also be removed with a little adjustment to the settings etc.

You may want to update to the latest release if you haven't. If you are seeing this on the latest release capture it in a debug log (step 4b) and attach it to a Support Ticket: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=69

The problem could also be that you have multiple instances (including MM Service) having the database open.

Thank you once again Lowlander for your help in my problem.I have now installed the latest version of 4.1.17.1840 and am pleased to say that the problem has resolved itself.No error messages at any time now. I have noticed that my video files ( mp4 etc ) have now changed to Audio Files with the title now greyed out.At the top of the screen it quotes " Play in Media Monkey " It is a case of right click the title,choose open with,then B.S.Player,VLC Player etc.to bring them back to the way they were before I opened Media Monkey.If you or anyone else knows how to resolve this small problem,I would be truly thankful .

Once again Lowlander has help me resolve another problem I have been having.It is so much easier having someone who knows their way around MM rather than myself taking a guess and making things worse.Knowing where to go amongst the menu options helps a lot. I just have a couple of more questions to ask.When,and if,I upload future CD's to my playlist,is the MM.db file automatically updated and saved.If not,where do I need to go to do this action ? Where is the new updated saved MM.db file located.I have read somewhere that it is located in two places i.e. under Program Files (x86) and in a Temp/Roaming folder !.Once again thank you so much for all your help.It is very much appreciated.

MM.DB is the MediaMonkey database and anything you do in the MediaMonkey Library (this includes Playlists in MediaMonkey) is automatically saved to the database (there is only one MM.DB used).
