Hello. After reviewing your matrix showing track properties (http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.p ... erties/4.0), I still have a question.
I'm interested in using CloudPlayer by Doubletwist (for Android) because it seems to be a good player for accessing and playing tracks from Google Drive. In addition, it can access 5 star ratings. Most of my tracks have been rated in MM, so I'd like to see if CloudPlayer will access those ratings after I sync from MM5 to Google Drive.
The track properties matrix shows that mp3 ratings are "Defacto-Standard (POPM - WMP implementation)" which isn't clear on what this actually means and whether the ratings are attached to tags or contained only within the db.
For ratings metadata, CloudPlayer supports POPM for MP3 format and RATE for M4A format.
Any help/guidance is appreciated. Anyone else try to do something like this?
I would love to be to access these tracks in Google Drive (or OneDrive and Dropbox) from MMA, but I suppose that is coming after MM5.1? <hoping>

The correct link is: http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.p ... erties/5.0
By default tags are saved to the database as well as to the files themselves: http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.p ... g_Settings

Thanks for the help. There are a few tracks that Cloudplayer is still having issues with in terms of the ratings. I've
cleaned Id3v1 and Id3v2 tags and then updated the tracks in question. Cloudplayer is still having difficulty pulling in the ratings. Is it possible for me to see how those ratings are stored in the tag? It all looks good on the surface through properties, but I wonder if something is going on at a deeper level in terms of formatting.
I was just wondering if it's possible for me to see those ratings in the actual tag? Thanks again.

Hi,
Can you please open support ticket and supply us with two tracks eg. one that is read correctly and one that do not read correctly even after cleanup.
Drive share links would also work if they are not email locked.

Re: Ratings format and location
I'm sorry that I'm just getting back to this. So I opened the files in Mp3tag and the rating is coded in the actual tag. It must be something on the side of Cloudplayer and I'm working with their support team.
With that being said, after you officially release MM5, how about working on MMA to allow us to access the synced tracks in Google Drive/Dropbox, etc.? At least allow us to access my network drive from MMA when I'm on the same wifi network. I can do that with VLC Player. It would be nice to do that from within the MM system.
Thanks.
