Yes, that was the error I've got.
So I've checked the firewall and indeed, MediaMonkey was in there for some reason.
I've removed it, reauthorized Discogs Tagger, and now it works!

It doesn't want to save genre.
The genre value whether empty or previously filled will remain the same.

I just tested it and can't see a bug. Do you set the checkbox on the left side of genre? Do you see a change in the lower table, if you set one or more genre?

Yes, the checkbox is on, of course.
No changes in the lower table, it just briefly blinks with grey color.

Dear crap_Inhuman,

I got error when I tried to install your script. It says:

Error #-2146697208 - msxml6.dll
and something like ~"It was not possible getting the resource" (maybe not exactly that in english as I translated the text from swedish)
File: C:\user\Johan\appdataRoaming\mediamonkey\scripts\disccogswebtag.vbs", line 9820, column 2

Here is my configuration:
Windows 7
MM 4.1.31.1919
your script 5.7.9
I have created an account on discogs.

This is the way I get the error:
Press ctrl-L on a mp3,
"Authorize Discogs tagger" window showes up
I have already pressed buttom 1 and 2, so I press OK
Then the error #-2146697208 described above shows up. Press OK
A new dialog saying "Error happened during script execution" and ~"It was not possible getting the resource" press OK
The auto tag from web window shows up, but empty.

If you still get the "Please authorise for Discogs " window, the authorization process ist not complete. You have to do the second part again

I am up to date with MM4 and Discogs Tagger on Windows 10.
I was trying to tag a complicated 10 CD rip for Art Tatum by tagging it one CD at a time as I couldn't get the matches I wanted due to multiple tracks having the same name.

I first clicked Stop track refresh button and then starting unchecking tracks under the Discogs column when this error appeared:

Error #9 - Microsoft VBScript runtime error
Subscript out of range: "i"
File: "C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey\Scripts\DiscogsWebTag.vbs", Line: 7596, Column 2

After I clicked OK in response the following error occurred:
Error executing script event.
Subscript out of range: "i"

After I clicked OK and cancelled the tagging the following error occurred several times.
Error executing script event.
Object required: 'SDB.Tools.WebSearch.NewTracks'

Hi,

after you click the Stop track refresh button you have to wait till the last refresh is over! The last refresh take a long time with this big release! After that, you should uncheck the button right beside "Discogs" to uncheck all tracks at once. Now you can check one CD and start track refresh again.

That trick did it. After cleaning up the tracks a bit I managed to do one CD at a time.

Great. Do you didn't wait for the last refresh before ? I will try do add a message while the script is working

You are correct. I did not wait for a complete refresh. Tried it both ways, waiting and not waiting. The error only presented itself when I did not wait.

On another note. After I stop refresh and uncheck the Discogs box at the top of the column the whole column gets unchecked on refresh. Many of the jazz boxset CDs have the same song repeated (different variations), and sometimes even on the same CD. Currently, I am tagging one CD at a time by only checking the Discog and Title boxes that relate to that CD. With one click I can uncheck the whole Discogs column but I cannot do the same with the Title column. For the Title column I am unchecking each track box one at a time. Is there an easier way to do this that I am missing? Would it be possible to do something similar with the Title column as you have done with the Discogs column where unchecking the top box unchecks the whole column?

I think you don't need to uncheck the Title. Please try it without unchecking the Title box !
