How to display artwork

Post by thepipe »

I can't find any way to display album art in MM5. I can see the album art in the properties view, but the artwork doesn't appear anywhere when songs are playing. I looked under the View menu, but there is no Art & Details item like there was in MM4. In fact, I can't find any item relating to artwork under the view menu. It's not under the In MM4, the skin I used showed the artwork at the bottom in the currently playing song section. It was also displayed in the left panel below the media tree.

I can only get the artwork to show if I choose List (by album) or Grid (by album) from the Main Panel View sub-menu, neither of which I prefer. In MM4, I was able to display the artwork in a separate window.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Artwork can be displayed in the Preview window: https://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/WebHel ... the_Layout

Additional to what LowLander said:
  • use the View>Layout menu item, and drag the the Preview panel to the "Left Panel"
  • Open Tools>Option>Layout>Preview and set it to Artwork only to replicate what you had in MM4
I don't think that it is possible to display the artwork in the player panel at the bottom of the screen, but if you click on the heading of the Selected (aka Preview) panel, you can toggle it to show the artwork from the track that is playing, instead of artwork of the track that you have selected with the cursor.
Want a dark skin for MM5? This is the one that works best for me .. elegant, compact & clear.
