But I didn't know where else to post this... I've noticed that when updating my tags via Amazon, if I quickly put a " - " between the artist and album then it tends to grab the correct information more often than it does by default. I'd like to be able to do this automatically... Any ideas?

That's not possible, (yet). This behaviour (if you're sure) sounds like an issue in Amazon's search system, so maybe you can report that to them. They should make that normal searches behave the same as searches with '-' in it. Unless they made changes to it recently...
