Icons in collections

Can I remove the stupid icons that appear next to each collection altogether? Why do I need a pair of headphones next to a each music collection? Or a camera next to each video collection? Or a saxophone next to each subnode of Genre? They are childish and a waste of width to me. I want to hide them completely.

No, icons can't be hidden, but perhaps you can find a blank image to use instead.
