Issues Updating MM4 DB to MM5

I'm having issues getting my MM4 database to update to MM5. I use MM4 as my master DB and occasionally need to convert it to MM5. It used to be a simple process: Delete the MM5 DB, copy the MM4 DB into the MM5 directory, and start MM5 and have it convert. That hasn't worked for a long time. when I do that now, after selecting to Convert from MM4 in the dialog box, I get: "Application throw an exception The specified file already exists. Would you like to restart MediaMonkey in Safe mode?" If I continue, MM5 basically hangs there indefinitely, seemingly trying to convert the DB. I eventually have to kill it. The Restart and Restart in Safe mode options do not help, either. So, what is the existing file I need to delete to get this to work? What is the correct procedure to make this whole process as seamless as possible?

Which Build (Help > About) of MediaMonkey is this happening with?

I'm using 4.1.31.1919 and 5.0.4.2690.
