I am a long-term user of Mediamonkey. Just upgraded to MM5 after years running MM4.
First impression- "wow that colour scheme is shockingly bright, and not linked to the Windows desktop theme, which is pretty annoying"
I am running Win10 in dark mode with an active/focus colour of dark-ish blue (annoyingly the forum doesn't seem to let me upload a screenshot). The MM developers seem to have decided that mustard yellow is the "new black", and that UI consistency is for the birds.
The core functionality of MM seems to be all there in 5, which is great. I'm sure there will be plugins and scripts I'll miss though.
However it would have been nice to see MM5 do a better job of fitting in with Windows theming. My preference would be a "use the desktop theme" option, but while that's not available the option to configure the key colours of the default skin should be offered.
Is this something that has been raised before? I did a quick search of the forum but didn't find it.

There are other Skin options available to customize MediaMonkey to your liking.
There is no Windows skinning in MediaMonkey 5.

Yes, very much a continuation of the MM4 philosophy...
I found a skin (Code Monkey) that is designed to mimic VSCode so it is somewhat widows-like. It works reasonably well with my current dark Win 10 theme if I customise the primary theme colour and pick a smaller font.
Not exactly "plug and play", and if i change my desktop theme I will have to tweak the skin options or go looking for a new MM skin, so not ideal but it works.
