Use MM with VPN ?

Hi!

What application could exclude from VPN, actualy I excluded Mediamonkey.exe and MediamonkeyService.exe but when I start MM with VPN it does not work and if i start MM without VPN it's work.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish with the VPN and MediaMonkey and what exactly in MediaMonkey doesn't work? Also which Build (Help > About) of MediaMonkey are you using?

HI!

I only want start MM for DLNA streaming. But if VPN is active and MM start, the tracks does not stream, I must close MM and inactive VPN then restart MM and I could stream the tracks.

MM 2024.1.0.3113.

Are you attempting to stream locally or via the VPN?

Hi,
It depends on VPN client, but most of them have Allow LAN traffic that disable VPN device isolation.

EDIT: I switched to VPN profiles directly on Router as that resolve issues with LAN Traffic as only Internet traffic is thru VPN.

My VPN is an application Norton.

Hello,

After reading your reference and performing a few tests, I think the problem stems from Norton changing something in its application. In this context, I think I'll continue to disable the VPN before starting MM and re-enable it later. I'll wait until later to see if there's a fix for the situation mentioned on the Norton website.

Thank you for update, I wish that issue was in MM as it would be easier to track and fix.

You just proved me again and again that my choice to ditch all software firewalls and invest in Edge Hardware firewall was teh right choice.
