Hello,
Summary
Unable to add local folder to MMA Library
Details
On MMA, I added an existing folder (let's call it Test) from internal storage using the "main menu->Add folder" option. If I go back under "main menu->Add folder", I see the added Test folder and I have the option to remove it.
However, MMA does not add any files to the library from that Test folder (or sub-folder of it), and under "main menu->Folders", I do not see that new Test folder listed under library.
I presume the Test folder does not show up in the list because MMA does not have any files from that Test folder in the library (I also have a Movies folder in the "add folders" which does not show up in the folders list, and that Movies folder does not contain any local files).
In that "Folders" screen, if I go through the "Files" section to navigate manually to the added Test folder, I see my mp3 files and I am able to play them.
If I remove and re-add the Test folder, I get a permission pop-up where I obviously click "Allow".
If I copy the mp3 files from that Test folder into the regular Internal Storage/music and manually "Check for new/changed media", the files are added to the library.
Device
Samsung XCover6 Pro running Android 15 and One UI 7.0
MMA 2.0.5.1248
Any hints on what I should look into to get files from the Test folder to be scanned into the MMA library?

Re: Unable to add local folder to MMA Library
Hi,
Sorry for the late reply. I don't have your particular device, but I tested this as follows (with MMA 2.1.1.1282) and couldn't replicate the problem:
1 Created a folder called 'test' using File Explorer and copied 2 MP3 files into it.
2 In MMA, clicked 'Add folder' > '+' , and selected the 'test' folder
--> The folder was added to the library (tracks from the folder appear in Folders > Library > test
If you navigate to MMA > Options > Library and Sync, does 'Scan now' help?
Does this issue occur regardless of the audio format of the audio files that are in the test folder?

Re: Unable to add local folder to MMA Library
Thanks for the info, neighbor! (I'm on the south shore of Montreal).
I worked around the issue by adding the files in a folder on the MM server instead, and syncing from server.
Is your device IOS? I only see MMA 2.1.0.1278 in Google Play Store (which is also my current MMA, I haven't tried to reproduce on that version).

It's a beta version for beta testers, there is no iOS MediaMonkey App.
