and my database is 610 MB.
MM 5.0.2.2531 loads in mere seconds, is currently using around 650 MB of RAM, and running smooth as butter. Just sayin'
How often does it crash, though. I just discovered it to sort and deal with my music library from the past 20+ years of just dumping everything thats .mp3 into a folder. So many duplicates. I have crashed 7 times in the (less than) 24 hours its been installed. Ryzen 5800X3D, 64 GB 3600mHz ram.
i feel a 64 bit version my help, like someone else said, keep a 32 bit version for legacy users.

Hello,
one thing I noticed about MMW5 is that it is just a 32bit application? (At least, the one I have installed is only 32 bit)
Is there 64 bit build available too? (Surely the large majority of Windows OS's are 64 bits these days? Would it not improve performance when dealing with music libraries of terabyte size to have a native 64bit application? Or would it make no difference...?)
There's another post about this somewhere and one of the mods said something about them trying it out and it seemed to perform worse than 32bit version
Has anyone found an alternative to MediaMonkey? Because it crashes every time I try to use autotagging on my 4000+ library and it's effectively useless now. I kind of regret paying for it now.

Also, is the issue occurring with MediaMonkey 5.0.5? If yes, before sending a debug log, I'd suggest trying out the most recent MediaMonkey 2024 Release Candidate to see if it solves the problem.
AS much as I like and enjoy MediaMonkey, 2024, it is always crashing and locking up on me. I have had several computers and the same problem. I am a lifetime Gold user, and I was really expecting a solid program.
I have a gold license and was looking for a 64 bit Windoze 11 version of MM 2024 to run on my i9 system. Windows is reporting that my current running version of MM is 32 bits.

There is currently no obvious benefits to develop x64 version. Our internal tests showed negligent <5% speed increase in general UI, but showed many many incompatibilities with devices syncs/drivers/control apps/... MAC version on other hand will be x64/ARM64 as it handle things completely on a different level where system drivers and whole system operate in x64 unlike Windows.
Wont a 64 bit version be required is a few years. I know 32bit OS's will crash around 2035 because of new date issue. Would think testing a 64 bit version sooner than later would be a good idea. Speaking as someone of the front lines of the Y2K nightmare. (Yes nothing happened, mainly because we all ran around pulling our hair out for 10 years before making sure nothing would happen).

Been around Y2K and nothing happened, we are still far from 2035. and MM for MAC is 64Bit, MMA works on 64Bit ARM devices. MM can be compiled as 64Bit, but plugin compatibility is more problem than benefit moving all to 64Bit, especially as MM 32Bit works normally without any or neglectable downsides even on 5m tracks in library.
