I just updated and migrated MediaMonkey 5 on my old PC to MM 2024 on my new PC, and it seems to have mostly gone well. Using the same file structure helped. I just have one problem. Apparently I’d already moved some tracks from my Incoming folder to their respective Artist folders before the migration. MediaMonkey shows them all in their proper destinations, with full metadata, and I can play those. But they also show up ghosted in Incoming. They’re not in that Windows folder on the new PC. When I run Locate Missing/Moved Files in Incoming and tell it to look for the missing files in their Artist locations (confirmed earlier as visible and playable in those MM locations), it says it can’t locate them.
I haven’t run any scans yet. I'm wondering if just running a scan on Incoming will make the ghosted copies disappear. I just want to make sure it will leave the working tracks intact in the Artist locations I’ve already moved them to.
