Hi all
I've been unable to sync MMA on my phone to MMW on my desktop for nearly three days now and I just can't work out what the issue is. When I hit sync now on the phone it indicates that it is connecting, but then just comes back with connection failed! server inaccessible, try restarting the server and re-running the sync config wizard.
I generally do get this fairly often when trying to sync, but it is usually fine after a few attempts or if I leave it and try later, but now I can't get it to connect at all. Strangely, it does seem to have synced any changes made in tracks on MMA back to MMW, but it won't sync any files over or update the playlists, etc.
I've trying uninstalling MMA on my phone and reinstalling, but that didn't resolve it. I even moved my MM DB over to my laptop and tried running it from there, but that didn't either.
I'm on MM 2024.2.0.3184 and MMA 2.1.2.1302.
My phone is a Pixel 8 Pro, but I also sync up to my old Samsung S6 Tab, and that now has the same issue when I try to sync to that.
I've also tried deleting the phone from the Devices and Services in MMW and reconnecting. It has re-created the Pixel 8 Pro under Devices and Services, but will not sync to it.
I also noticed that when I try to close MMW it often says there are background processes running, but there's often no indication of what that may be.
My AV is Bitdefender and I have allowed MM in the firewall, and even when I disable the AV shield temporarily it still has the issue.
Any suggestions?

NB: I have also just installed 2024.2.1.3212 from the beta downloads page, but that doesn't resolve it!

Thanks. I've been through all of those but it's still not resolved it. It looks like it's connecting initially as says connecting, then matching files but then immediately stops with server not responding.
I'll raise a support ticket.

I'm not getting anywhere with this and little response from support if anyone else might be able to help?
I've not been able to get MMA on my phone (Pixel 8 Pro) to sync to MM 2024 since 10 March now, either wirelessly or wired. Wirelessly I just keep getting server not responding and wired it connects, removes loads of files and add a load more, but does update playlists or complete the sync and keeps giving me warnings about the phone not connecting.
I notice that currently in MMA, when I select properties, it takes four or five seconds to load the properties, which is not normal.
Where can I find logs in MM 2024? I can't seem to find any log files in the MM installation folders. I tried installing the latest debug version, but when I set it to send debugs logs it kept failing to send them as well, so I went back to the normal (non-debug version).
It would be really good if someone is able to help, I've spent so much time tearing my hair out over the last week, I can't afford to lose too much! Thanks

Hi,
In build 2.1.2.1302, some regressions were introduced. These regressions are already fixed in 2.1.2.1304, which should be available to you soon (it is in the approval process).
Re: Changes are sync, but won't sync any files or update the playlists
- Have you enabled "Device content" in sync settings? This option is disabled by default, and you mentioned that you've deleted the old sync profile in Device & Service.
If any problems persist in 1304, we would appreciate it if you send a log as soon as it occurs via Options/Help/Send logs and write down Log ID

I've still not been able to sync wirelessly, but have connected up via USB and it does seem to be now syncing - hard to tell until it finishes, but it's deleted thousands of tracks and now re-downloading them, so hopefully it'll sync the playlists as well.
It would have been really handy if someone has just communicated that there were problems with 2.1.2.1302 when I posted it on here and also logged it as a support ticket six days ago! I've been going round in circles trying to resolve it, and the only reply I got from support in that time was three days after logging it with a suggestion to look at the connection logs using a third party app, which didn't help me to narrow it down. A bit frustrating to know that it was already a known issue that was being dealt with and it would have saved me a lot of time and stress if someone had let me know!

OK, so I uninstalled MMA (beta) from my phone (again), deleted all remnants of MMA from the Android data files, left the beta program and then reinstalled from the Play store, which gave me the public release version and that seems to be ok. I've been able to reconnect to MM 2024 and it recognised it as a new device and, after I authorised it, did a long scan and then deleted and synced a load of files, but it has now updated all the playlists as well, and when I've tested updated a few files in MMA (I make notes in the notes section to add tempo, mood, etc) it has synced them over.
I think I'll stay on the public release and not the beta from now, it's been far too much hair pulling over the last week. I've also installed the update to MM 2024 that showed up today and it stills seems to be fine.

We apologize for the inconvenience associated with version 2.1.2.1302.
It is a Beta version, after all, where regressions can sometimes occur, although we try to avoid them or fix them quickly.
Unfortunately, the approval process is taking longer than usual.

just to also let you know, that I add similar sync issues in the past weeks.
On beta, I got the same error messages on MMA (Beta) with sometimes "server took too long...." and "WLAN sync is not enabled" (which is not true). Strangely on MMW, I see "Synchronising...." on my device. Even if MMA stopped synchronising it kept stating Synchronisng on MMW forever.
I went back to the official MMA app (non beta) and now sync is working fine.
