MMA won't play next track

This might be related to a specific track or may be a bug?
When track 5 on a beautiful compilation from the UNCUT magazine from 2023 is finished, the next track won't start whether in album order or random playlist.

I'm not sure when to log, because there is no prompt that something is wrong. At the end of track, the time counts on on the left side but showing 0:00 on the right. Sometimes after 2 or more minutes it skips to the next track, sometimes not. Track 5 is "Come On Aphrodite", Artist : Natalie Merchant /Abena Koomson-Davis. This won't happen on the MMW 5 version...

Are you playing tracks locally on device speakers/headphone or cast to other device?

Also have you tried to make sure all tracks in playlist show correct length.

The tracks are played directly on the orbsmart. No casting. The tracks are synced correctly from MMW5 via wifi. Curious :
Track 2-5, 7, 10, 15 shows different length in MMW5 (1 second longer per track).

The track length on MMA on the other device (Moto E22 is the same as on the Orbsmart) but the track changes correctly on the Moto. I've resynced the whole album but it is the same behaviour.

Strange, I've never had this with any other track. I try now to rip the CD again. Curious, even the silent track by Peter Gabriel is working correctly.

Ok, I did ripping the CD again and found two strange things.
First, the CD may be pressed not correctly, as there are not correct pauses between the tracks. So MMA may not recognise the correct ending of one track and the next beginning.
Hearing the CD sometimes seems like blending tracks in another (not every track).

Second, the Orbsmart had problems in the past with gapless playing (mostly on live recordings). There was still a gap, when I was listening to a whole concert. So I thought I had not chosen gapless before as it makes no difference.

But I rechecked MMA and it stood on gapless.

I don't know if the misbehaving of track 5 was a problem by the Orbsmart and/or the setting in MMA.

Nevertheless, after reripping the whole album, the fault is gone for now. Although MMA and MMW5 still showing 1 second difference in track 2-5,7,10,15.,curious.

If you stumble on such issues again and can pinpoint few tracks, please separate then and try to replicate on another device to confirm. If issue repeats then wrap them and and send them to us for in deep step by step dismantle. That should give us issue that we know how to replicate and be able to fix.

I tried to provoke the fault again in different ways. The tracks now switch the normal way.

But still 1 second playtime difference in some tracks of the album between MMA & MMW. It's the only album where I recognise this

No need, MMA relies on Google Media Scanner and all depends how it reports back the length roundups.

EDIT: Some apps Round up 01:23.560 -> 01:23 by truncating milliseconds and some use mathematical roundup 01:23.560 -> 01:24, personally I prefer truncating as from technical point of view 01:23.560 is not 01:24 which would assume 0.440 milliseconds of silence to playback.

I had this issue on multiple tracks in my playlists, which maybe means I have a different problem. This just started happening today and I use MMA a lot so I suspect it's a pretty new issue.

Changes I made and problem seems to be gone:
Settings>Playback>Playback Engine: Change to "Native"
Settings>Playback>Audio Transitions: "None" to "Gapless"
