A lot of other music apps have the ability to set what percentage of the song needs to play before it's scrobbled. I'd personally like it so that my songs scrobble at 90% played, because sometimes MediaMonkey crashes right before the song ends and then it doesn't scrobble. This is highly frustrating as I then have to use another website to manually scrobble the song. It would also be nice if MediaMonkey didn't crash so often, but over the last 5 updates to the 2024 program I'm getting about 2 or 3 crashes per day. And they wouldn't be nearly as frustrating to me if I didn't have to manually scrobble the track afterwards.
But even discounting the crashing issue, I still think it should have a scrobble percentage slider like other scrobblers do. You could even set it to a "minimum" percentage of 50% if you wanted, but requiring the full song to play *and* end is an issue if the player crashes.

Please capture the crashing in a debug log (step 4b) and attach the log to a Support Ticket: https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=86643

Sorry but installing a separate program and another version of MediaMonkey just isn't in the cards for me.
This post is mainly meant to serve as the suggestion to add a Scrobble percentage option. Like I said, I actually don't mind if a program crashes every now and again; most programs do. It's the fact that it cancels the scrobble that bugs me, and this is easily remedied by an option that Scrobbling apps should quite frankly already have.

Which Build (Help > About) of MediaMonkey are you using?
A debug log would help resolve the crashes. DebugView itself isn't installed, just downloaded and run, and the debug version of MediaMonkey installs like any update.

Re: [REQ] Ability to change % of song played to scrobble it
Okay, the process wasn't as complicated as I thought so I have been using the debug version with DebugView open since last night. I've probably played 100+ tracks so far and the client hasn't crashed yet, which is kind of unusual. What does this indicate, that the crashing issue may have been fixed and this version of MediaMonkey will be pushed as the next update? Or is the debug version completely separate from the main version?
Re: [REQ] Ability to change % of song played to scrobble it
The Debug Version is the same release as the current version (it just contains the ability to debug), If you don't run into the issue anymore you can either stick with the debug version or return to the regular version.

Yeah, the debug version hasn't crashed once in the last 3 days. I was almost hoping it would crash to be able to submit a ticket, but it's just not.
Guess I'm using the debug version from now on.
Still though, I'd love if we could have a scrobble % option on MediaMonkey. Pretty much every other scrobbler has one.
