MMW doesn't recognize new phone via USB, but PC does

Hey, hoping someone has some ideas to try. I've been a MM user for a long time over multiple devices. I got a new phone, pixel 10a, and MM5 won't recognize it. I set it to file transfer, and windows picks it up and I can access files, but it won't show up in MMW devices. I have the latest versions of MMW and MMA, installed the latest drivers from Google, and I've tried a couple different USB cables. My old phone still syncs perfectly.

Any ideas? I've seen lots of help where windows also doesn't recognize the device, but nothing when it's only MM that doesn't pick it up.

Start by making sure the device isn't set to disabled under Devices & Services in the Media Tree.

That's the problem. it doesn't show up under Devices at all when connected by USB and set to file transfer. I can access it normally from windows file explorer, but MM doesn't see it. My old phone still shows up in MM and works as it should.

Could the name of the device be different than expected. This can be the case when you transferred from device to another. In that case it may show as the old device you transferred from.

If this isn't the case, please capture the connecting of the device to your PC in a debug log (step 4b) and attach the log to a Support Ticket: https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=86643

This will help a developer analyze why this happens on your setup.

Please also check https://www.mediamonkey.com/support/kno ... ync-fails/ as it is possible that Windows incorrectly loaded MTP drivers and they needs to be refreshed.
