Hi there

are there any plans to make MM available on Android Automotive?

I miss being able to use my car's multimedia screen to access MM files, playlists etc.

I assume you're not referring to Android Auto? Does Android Automotive not support Android Auto as well?

Android Automotive is new OS version like Android TV, specialized and customized for the purpose and each app needs to go thru very strict certification process in order to be listed on specific OS platform.

It is very planned for MMA future to retry to certificate MMA for these OS, but for not now MMA do not follow all teh guides and standards it needs to bet the certification and be published on their respective app stores.

Android Automotive and Auto Support in Android App

Post by rJenx »

My car runs Android Automotive or Auto (not sure which) and it has access to a limited number of apps authorised for in the car. Currently I download music to a USB storage device using MM2024 and plug it into the car. I end up using Android AudioWagon which is ok but no where near as accomplished as MM Android App. It would be great if you could release a version of the Android App for Automotive as there are no other alternatives.
