Off topic, but some of you run music communities so maybe relevant.
I manage my library with MediaMonkey and I also help run a chat server for people who collect and tag rare live recordings, around 650 members now. Most active members came through a handful of regulars who invite friends from other trading groups.
We wanted to thank those regulars with a role, but the built in invite numbers counted every person who clicked the link and left the same day. We moved to an invite counter that ignores leavers, and the result finally made sense.
Anyone else here run a music related community? How do you reward your most helpful members?
