Hello,
I'm using MM 2.54.978 Gold Lifetime (I also tried 2.55 RC3 with same problem)
This started a few months back, I have a feeling it started when I moved to Nero 7 Enhanced but I can't be sure.
The CD burns with no errors but at some "random timestamp" the audio is faded to mute and back to normal in about a second. This I first thought was caused by corrupted MP3s so I did not really do any troubleshooting. But now I noticed this is happening on every CD I burn.
I checked the MP3 and they do not have that fade. This is what I have done so far:
- I switched the order of songs to see if the problem moves with the song. No, the problem stayed with the track 11 at 2 min 57 secs, regardless of the song.
- I figured out the above is at 37 min 55 secs in the CD. I pulled another CD I burned a couple of months back and the "fade" is there too at exactly 37 min 55 secs.
There are about 4 fades in the CD but I thought it may be important to mention that these two CDs have the same problem at the same place and their content is TOTALLY different.
I tried with/without volume leveling and the fade moved to another part
I tried with/without cd-text and again the fade moved to another part
I tried uninstalling, removing and cleaning the reg of any MM stuff and still have the problem.
I completelly uninstalled Nero (Clean tools) and installed it again without the Burn Plug-in and no change
I tried 3 different brands of CDs
:::
I also searched here for "burn gap mute fade" but I found no other relevant information.
:::
Does anyone have any ideas of what could be causing this problem?

That's very weird. Does this problem only occur with MediaMonkey or do other burning application exhibit issues as well?

I saved the list of songs to an m3u file and burned a CD using Nero Express and it does NOT have these fades.Lowlander wrote:That's very weird. Does this problem only occur with MediaMonkey or do other burning application exhibit issues as well?
