THM files now plaguing my file directory

I don't know what I did but now on my windows version of Media Monkey it is adding THM files directly to the same folder as my stored music. I don't know if that is ideally what you want for optimal performance because my MM is on the same as my system drive while my music is stored in a slower mass storage drive. Are THM files just meta data?

This happens when you're adding multiple Artworks to a file and have it set to save as external images (or the file format doesn't support embedded Artwork).
