Grouping by Album in the Various Views for a Media Server [#21866]

I was trying to figure out how/if it is possible to make the default to have songs grouped or at least sorted by (preferably grouped) by Album when using MMA to play music from a server (not locally stored songs) such as MMW.

So, for example, in MMA, click Media server, select server of your choice, select a collection select Genre (for example), select a genre and have the songs grouped by Album and then be given the options to play the album tracks only.

I suspected as such.

That said, can the MMW client add grouping options for its Media Sharing feature as that is my DNLA music server.

Hello all,

I check on this from time-to-time and it appears that this is slated for v2.2.1 of MMA which was to be March of '26 but the two prior releases going back to Nov '25 aren't completed yet or released, is that correct?

My phone is indicated 2.1.1.1290

Are there new target dates for these releases?
