. I am using a 512 GB micro SD extension card integrated and the MP3 library is on there. At one point there was an OS system update on the tablet and the card got corrupted and had to be reformatted. Trying to prevent this again, I recently created a new sub directory for my mp3 library in the root of my external SD card. I also have a full backup of everything that I put on the SD external card. After updating my playlists to the new path, I plugged my fire tablet into my Windows 10 laptop and manually MOVED (not copied) all of the files out of the sub directory under \android into the new \MyMusic directory in the root of the external SD card using the windows 10 explorer. I tried this with a few MP3 files and it worked great. The updated playlists were fine. There were no duplicates or dead links
Media Monkey is currently syncing and updating my large library and I’m noticing that there are duplicate links for all of the tracks in many of my albums.
Will this be fixed after Media Monkey is done syncing with the new file directory location? Or will I have to manually delete thousands of duplicate links? The duplicates seem to actually play. They do not appear to be dead links. Would it be better if I uninstall/reinstall the media monkey pro application, wiping out the data and entire mp3 library? I could set up the entire library from scratch with the playlists and MP3 files from my backup.
By the way, there is only one set of these MP3 files on the internal SD card and internal tablet drive. There are no duplicate files on this device. When this is done syncing should I remove the empty mp3 file structure that still exists with zero files under the \android directory? Should I also take away access for that old directory inside the media monkey application?
Please advise.
