I'm unable to use the Search function when connected to my QNAP DLNA server in MediaMonkey for Android. Browsing the library and playing tracks work normally, but every search (even for a single letter like "a") immediately fails with "Connection Failed: Access Denied."
I've verified that:
* The QNAP DLNA server is discovered automatically by MediaMonkey.
* Browsing and playback work correctly.
* VLC for Linux can play and search the same DLNA server.
* VLC for Android can play and search the DLNA server.
* The server advertises UPnP `Search` support (`GetSearchCapabilities` returns `dc:title,upnp:album,upnp:artist,upnp:class,@refID,upnp:genre`).
* Manual SOAP `Search` requests to the QNAP server succeed (returning valid `SearchResponse` XML, even if no matches are found), so the server accepts the `Search` action.
This makes me suspect an interoperability issue between MediaMonkey's UPnP search implementation and the QNAP DLNA server.
Mediamonkey v2.1.1.1290
Fails on Fairphone 4 with Android 15 and Fairphone 6.
Thoughts?
Performing a song search on DLNA causes "Connection failed: Access denied" error
